DENVER, COLORADO: 'Married at First Sight' Season 17 bride Becca Haley recently revealed that she underwent an appendectomy just a few days ahead of filming the Lifetime show. In the latest episode, Becca shared that she had surgery for endometriosis before being matched.

According to the World Health Organisation, Endometriosis is a condition in which "tissue that is similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus." It often affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining the pelvis.

However, growths can be found beyond that general area inside the body in some cases. Meanwhile, it's not clear what the circumstances surrounded Becca's diagnosis.

Becca revealed in the latest episode that she has endometriosis and underwent an appendectomy due to it. Becca was hospitalized not long before she was matched with someone to be married and worried it might affect her wedding in some ways.

During her wedding dress shopping, Becca shared, "I ended up having a diagnosis of endometriosis." She added, "Typically, endometriosis grows on your reproductive organs. Mine just so happened to decide to travel a little further north, so I’m recovering from an appendectomy. And it’s been a lot."
