Meet the cast of 'Married at First Sight' Season 17
Lifetime's smash-hit show is back for a second round, and this time, they've thrown together a wacky, wild, and wonderfully diverse bunch of characters from all walks of life.
Emily Balch
Emily is an avid traveler at heart and a 30-year-old dynamo. With a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications and a minor in Marketing from Miami University, she's all about making her mark in the professional world. It's official - Emily is all set to take the plunge into the beautiful chaos of married life with fellow 'MAFS' contestant Brennen Shoyket. Currently, she's rocking the role of Account Executive, Large Enterprise, at Gartner for Sales Leaders. Emily's journey is as exciting as it is diverse, and she's always ready for the next adventure life throws her way.
Brennen Shoyket
Brenne Shoykhet is donning his sharpest attire and taking a deep breath as the 28-year-old from Denver is getting ready to stride down the aisle, hand in hand with Emily on 'MAFS'. Brennen works as a senior consultant at Sikich LLP, a B2B service provider agency based out of Colorado. Brennen earlier stated that "divorce is not an option" for him, and claimed he is lookig for a lifetime commitment with his partner.
Clare
Clare, an exceptional 27-year-old student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Colorado, Denver, is leading the charge against the stigma that shrouds mental health because, in her eyes, mental health matters more than words can express. The loss of her dear brother was a profound and heartrending turning point in her life. However, it was this devastating experience that spurred her to embark on her extraordinary path as a mental health counselor, and she has since emerged as a stalwart mental health advocate. Clare is all set to find her forever in Cameron on 'MAFS'
Cameron Frazer
32-year-old Cameron has a degree in Composite Engineering from Auckland University and has ventured into the world of bicycles, crafting his own business that specializes in the art of repairing carbon frames. Frazer has earlier shared his opinion about having a partner with whom he can build a family, someone who has "his back" at all times. Hope his co-star Clare, who's all set to be his bride, shares the same feelings!
Lauren G
Hailing from South Metropolitan Denver, Lauren is an administrative officer, with a history of working with the federal government. The 32-year-old graduated from Chicago and has a degree in Agriculture Business management. She claims the dating scene in Denver has never been "disappointing," and she hopes her married life with her groom-to-be Orion will be equally interesting.
Orion Martzloff
Hailing from Mexico, 27-year-old Orion has spent years in the construction industry and works as a lead electrician and independent contractor. Orion believes he has had his share of "surface-level relationships" and expects his future wife to be introduced to the Native American heritage. Will Orion be able to find his lady love in Lauren?
Becca Bonner
Rebecca, or Becca, as she likes to call it, is an entrepreneur and has a degree in communication. She runs a photography business based out of Denver and Chicago. She mentions her work as "light photography." The 31-year-old has been vocal about her preferences in men, saying she wants a "typical Colorado man" to be her husband. It will be interesting to see if she finds her ideal type in her partner on the show, Austin.
Austin R
Austin's love for independent and motivated people reflects in his search for his future wife too. He wants his wife to have, if not everything, these two qualities. Austin also calls himself a "Colorado man," which means he and Becca already seem to have so much in common.
Michael Shiakallis
Michael grew up in Stanton, California, where he also did his basic schooling before moving to Denver in 2019. The 38-year-old works as the head of SMS Digital experience. Among all the flashy contestants, Michael sure caught the most attention after being ditched at the altar by his partner, Chloe, who chose to be anonymous for the most part of the show.
Chloe Brown
Chloe made headlines in 'MAFS' for quite a few reasons. For starters, her identity, which was largely kept under wraps and ramped up curiosity for the show. Then the "mystery match" ended up rejecting her partner, Michael, at the altar amid the grand wedding reception, justifying her decision saying she wasn't willing to marry a "stranger." Meanwhile, viewers could sense Michael's heartbreak on his face. Nothing much is known about Chloe, apart from her appearance on the show.
'Married at First Sight' Season 17 will be available to stream on Lifetime every Wednesday, from October 18, 2023, at 8 pm ET.
