Adam Levine drops huge ‘The Voice’ update as auditions commence for Season 30
'The Voice' fans have a genuine cause to rejoice since Adam Levine has recently confirmed that he will be returning as a coach on the upcoming thirtieth season of the popular singing competition-based reality television show. As per a recently released exclusive PEOPLE magazine report, Levine has already signed up to be on the next installment of the show. This follows his contestant, Alexia Jayy, who lifted the trophy in the recently concluded Season 29 of 'The Voice.'
Speaking in an interview with the aforementioned news outlet, the Maroon 5 frontman commented, "I will be back, I'm having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago, it's just been a blast, and I'm super happy to keep it going as long as they'll have me." The rest of the coaches on the panel have yet to be revealed, and it is expected that season thirty will arrive sometime later this year in the Fall. Levine has led a long and memorable career on 'The Voice', having been part of the show since its debut and for 16 seasons thereafter. He stepped away briefly in May 2019 and eventually returned in Season 27. The twenty-eighth season missed him as he rejoined the show for Season 29, which premiered earlier this year on February 23.
When asked about his decision to return to the show for season 27 following a hiatus, Levine remembered, "It was one of those moments where we started talking about it, and it felt right... and it hadn't felt right until now." Levine then went on to explain that he needed some time off from being on television most of the time, further adding, "Doing it for so long, so consistently, for almost eight or nine years of my life, you can definitely start to get burnt. I did it for this really long period of time, so I started to feel like I was kind of getting away from things that matter to me the most, like making music and playing music."
Speaking in a previous interview, Levine had remarked that in the aftermath of leaving the show, he had "plenty of time to not be on the show, and to do my thing, and to not have that define me, for lack of a better way of saying it. It was nice to go and just be with my family, and go tour, and do music, and do what I was originally in my mind intended to do: make music and play music." Apart from being an integral part of 'The Voice,' Levine has time and again coached winners who have gone on to lift the ultimate trophy. He won the debut season with Javier Colon, followed by his contestant Tessanne Chin winning the fifth season. Season 9 of the show was won by Jordan Smith, who was also coached by Levine.
