Why was Faith Stowers fired from 'Vanderpump Rules'? Bravo alum recalls being almost ‘attacked’ by Lala Kent
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It's commonly believed that Faith Stowers left 'Vanderpump Rules' on her own accord, but the truth is that the injustice she faced was the main reason for her departure. However, the constant drama and mistreatment became overwhelming for her, ultimately leading to her decision to leave.
But recently, after deciding to sue Bravo, Stowers revealed that after she accused Lala Kent of attacking her, she was told the next day by Bravo that she would be fired if she couldn't get along with Kent. This revelation came after Stowers spoke up about the altercation between her and Lala Kent.
According to lawsuit documents obtained by radar online, Stowers, and Lala Kent were arguing in SUR's dining room over something Kent believed was shared in confidence. The situation escalated quickly, with Kent becoming extremely agitated and hurling insults at Stowers.
The argument moved to a backroom, where Kent continued yelling. Stowers alleges that Kent grabbed a knife and threatened her with it, holding it to her neck and making threats. Stowers claims she felt genuinely scared for her safety, fearing that Kent might harm her.
"Kent became severely agitated, losing all self-control and hurling barbs at Stowers. Stowers and Kent retreated to a backroom, with Kent still screaming. With the cameras rolling, Kent grabbed a knife from a nearby counter and began brandishing it at Stowers, holding it to her neck and threatening to 'cut a b----,'" Faith mentioned in the lawsuit. Later when she "expressed her intention to involve law enforcement," Stowers revealed that NBC and Evolution "began the cover-up almost immediately."
Why is Faith Stowers staying as Bravo producers?
Faith Stowers, a former cast member of the reality series, has filed a lawsuit against Bravo and its parent company, NBCUniversal, citing discriminatory behavior, retaliation, and a hostile work environment. Stowers alleges that she was recruited for the show because of her race, as Bravo allegedly expressed a desire to add more "color" to the cast. She appeared in the fourth (2015-2016) and later in season six (2017-2018).
The lawsuit specifically addresses racial slurs that Stowers claims she faced from castmates, including Lala Kent and Brittany Cartwright, which were reportedly filmed. Alleged incidents include Kent joking that she was "blacker" than Stowers and Cartwright making derogatory remarks about Stowers' hair, describing it as "nappy." Stowers asserts that these instances created a hostile environment for her on the show.
What is the feud between Stassi Schroeder and Faith Stowers?
Faith Stowers has started a fundraiser to support her legal action against former "Vanderpump Rules" co-star Stassi Schroeder. Stowers launched a GoFundMe page where she alleges that Schroeder made false and harmful claims about her in her book, "Off with My Head: The Definitive Basic B*tch Handbook to Surviving Rock Bottom," published in April 2022.
Furthermore, Stowers revealed in the book that Schroeder and Kristen Doute had falsely reported her to the police for a crime she had no involvement in. This, coupled with the surfacing of past racist tweets by newer cast members Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, resulted in the network firing all four individuals from the show.
