Reports suggest that the network has dedicated the three-hour slot, originally blocked for the game show marathon or new coverage due to the chaos in the Capitol.

As riots and protests by Donald Trump supporters take over the US capital, leading networks had to bring their daily schedule to a halt to air breaking news, giving the public an update on the condition at the Capitol. ABC, which was supposed to air three back-back-back episodes of the quiz game show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, changed its schedule indefinitely to switch to news surrounding the riots with less than two weeks until Donald Trump's exit from the country's highest office.

When will it air next?

ABC is yet to provide official details about the changed schedule of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’. Reports suggest that the network has dedicated the three-hour slot, originally blocked for the game-show marathon for new coverage due to the chaos at the Capitol.

Here’s how viewers are reacting

It seems like a large number of people awaited the ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ marathon and seem to be disappointed with the fact that it was canceled indefinitely. The majority of them are demanding ABC re-schedule the program and provide them with the new air date and time details.

One tweeted, "I ain't happy that I can't watch the #OneChicago shows or #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire on Hulu tomorrow because of the riots. Thanks a lot riot idiots." Another added, "Missing the @MillionaireTV marathon tonight, but I understand why. Please reschedule it @ABCNetwork !! We need #whowantstobeamillionaire right now.

The show helps so many people and brings so much joy!" Adding to the above tweets one wrote, "I want to watch @MillionaireTV but the news is STILL on. I understand it's important but it's ridiculous. It's been on for hours. #millionaire #whowantstobeamillionaire" One tweeted, "@ABC put who wants to be a millionaire back on and stop with your distorted truth. Beside you have the worst reporters and commentators."
