'True Beauty': Why are Episodes 7 and 8 delayed? Here's when Cha Eun-woo, Moon Ga-young show will return
'True Beauty' at the moment is one of the most exciting Korean dramas on-air as it captures the life of Ju-kyung (Moon Ga-young), a young high school student who lives through the traumatic experience of being bullied before she transfers schools, uses makeup to help her gain confidence and not be bullied again and meets two interesting young boys, Su-ho (Cha Eun-woo) and Seo-jun (Hwang In-yeop). However, episodes 7 and 8, which were expected to air on December 20 and December 31 respectively, have been delayed.
At the end of 'True Beauty' Episode 6, we saw how Ju-kyung had been kidnapped by Seo-jun's rivals after they mistakenly believe that she is his girlfriend. It is a coincidence that the leader of Ju-kyung's former classmates who bullied her is the girlfriend of Seo-jun's rival, but this coincidence, which is not a part of the comics, makes us wonder if Seo-jun will be the one to exact revenge for everything that Ju-kyung had gone through in her previous school. While the girl herself is unable to identity Ju-kyung with her makeup on, Su-ho had seen them trouble her when she hadn't had her make up on earlier in the day.
Why are Episodes 7 and 8 delayed?
According to news that has been shared by the locals on the fan Instagram feeds, there seem to be two reasons for the delay in tvN drama's broadcast. Firstly, one of the cast members, a senior actor who plays the role of the principal, tested positive for Covid-19 and so the shooting had been halted momentarily. In fact, it was reported at the time that the show will now end in February, instead of January end, as was planned earlier.
Secondly, it is believed that tvN, as one of the three major networks, would pause a majority of its shows in the run-up to New Year to accommodate New Year special shows.
When will Episodes 7 and 8 air?
'True Beauty' episodE 7 is expected to air on January 6, a week after the original broadcast was planned. Episode 8 will now air on January 8. However, there has been no official confirmation from the network about the same. We would have to wait and see.
What to expect in Episode 7?
In 'True Beauty' Episode 7, we will mainly see Soo-jin's character get a more nuanced role to play as her friendship with Su-ho might result in some hesitation from Ju-kyung's end as she continues to be conflicted about if she should or shouldn't pursue Su-ho romantically.
