Why did Tulsi Gabbard leave the Democratic Party? Former Congresswoman makes multiple appearances in the ‘liberal’ chair on ‘The Five’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard stepped down from her association with the Democratic party just last year. This was a major move by the politician as she later explained that the clash of her views for America with "today's Democratic Party" prompted her to leave as she said it was controlled by "warmongers."

Gabbard recently made several appearances on the popular Fox News talk show 'The Five'. While their usual rotating hosts Jessica Tarlov and Harold Ford Jr were away, Gabbard went on to fill in the liberal chair of the show.

Tulsi Gabbard left 'today's' Democratic Party

Back in October of 2022, Gabbard made a post on X (then Twitter) announcing her departure from the Democratic party. Her main emphasis was on Congress developing views that she completely disagreed with.

"I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war," she said in the tweet, where she transcribed her own speech.

She then went on to call herself an "independent-minded Democrat" and asked others like herself to join her in a Congress boycott.

Gabbard is a solid endorser of many values and opinions that most Republicans hold in the current political landscape of America, which has led her to appear in media consumed by GOP supporters like Fox News.

Tulsi Gabbard replaces Jessica Tarlov's 'liberal' seat

In the past week, Gabbard made multiple appearances on 'The Five' while Tarlov or Ford Jr remained absent. Tarlov is perhaps the most confronted liberal host on the show as she rarely shares the same perspective as her conservative counterparts.

Gabbard on the other hand is not exactly a liberal representative, which is the whole schtick of 'The Five' and makes it stand out as the show which presents views from both the left and the right in the country.

While it is not confirmed yet, it might be possible that Gabbard will make more appearances on the show soon.
