Why did Sofia Vergara furiously storm off the set of 'AGT'? Judge cuts off Terry Crews amid dramatic moment with Heidi Klum
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Sofia Vergara stormed off the set of 'America's Got Talent' following a heated competition with Heidi Klum. On the live show of 'AGT' on August 30, 2023, Sofia and Heidi were playing a bizarre game.
The game titled 'Name That Toot' had already been filmed and was introduced by the show's host Terry Crews. Riccardo Pace, a competitor from earlier this season who did not make it through the auditions, was welcomed back by Terry.
Riccardo can make a frighteningly exact melody with his hands by making fart noises. Heidi, Sofia, and their teams took turns predicting the songs he was playing, and most of them were accurate.
When it came down to the final answer, a tiebreaker was used. A member of Heidi's squad exclaimed, "Don't You Forget About Me!" inside the first sentence, which was the correct answer.
While Heidi yelled and leaped with delight, Sofia gazed in bewilderment at the opposite squad. As the winners high-fived and Terry exclaimed, "Team Heidi has won," Sofia looked to get even more irritated.
She eventually jumped up, made a theatrical motion toward the door, and said, "I'm leaving!"
Her co-stars did not stop her as she rushed off the scene. Terry and Heidi scarcely moved an inch as she began to walk away.
Is 'AGT' judge Sofia Vergara single now?
During a recent episode of 'AGT', Sofia Vergara revealed her relationship status as single.
It included a stand-up comedy participant called Ahren Belisle on the August 29 episode, who utilized a text-to-speech tool to speak his jokes because he has cerebral palsy and is nonverbal.
He flirted with the 'Modern Family' alum in one of his jokes. "Go fetch Sofia Viagra," Ahren instructed his dog during the set. "Oh, no. … I meant Sofia Vergara," he added.
The comic blamed autocorrect for the error, although he did admit to hitting on the actress, which was one of his aims. Ahren was commended after the set was completed for his sense of humor.
Following Heidi's compliment, she decided to ask Sofia if she'd ever been referred to as "Sofia Viagra" before. "No, they have called me like that before, but I’m single," she replied with a wide smile.
Howie Mandel defends his jab at 'AGT' co-judge Sofía Vergara's single status
'AGT' judge Howie Mandel was slammed online last week for making a joke at Sofia's expense, drawing attention to her single status just weeks after she and her spouse of seven years, Joe Manganiello, announced their divorce.
Howie defended his choice to make a joke on his co-judge's marital status, telling Fox News Digital why the remark was appropriate.
"I loved it. I loved my Sofia joke. And a lot of people hated me online, I don't know why. They said it was too soon, to make a joke about her being single. I think last year was too soon. I think the minute Joe left the house, that's the time to advertise. That's just my opinion," Howie said.
Howie ridiculed Brynn Cummings, a teenage ventriloquist and mentalist, last week when she sought Heidi's help for her piece. Brynn was arranging a date for her puppet Penelope with a possible suitor.
"If I have one word of advice – if you're looking for eligible bachelors, you should've talked to Sofía, 'cause she's in the market right now," he stated, much to the surprise of the crowd but much to Sofia's delight.
When Howie delivered the joke, Sofia "loved it and laughed," according to Howie. "And that's all that matters. I don't care what you think, I only care what Sofia thinks. And I love Sofia, we're good friends and nobody laughed harder at that joke than her," he said.
When will 'AGT' Season 18 Qualifiers 3 air?
On September 5 (performance show) and September 6 (results show), the third week of 'AGT' live performances for Season 18 will air, with 11 of the 55 overall acts performing in front of judges Heidi, Howie, Simon Cowell, and Sofia, as well as host Terry.
Only the top two vote-getters from each of the five preliminary rounds will advance to the grand finale, so voting is crucial.

NBC has confirmed the identity of the 11 upcoming acts. These are their names:
