Neil Lane skips 'The Bachelor' finale for the first time

During the Monday night finale of 'The Bachelor' Season 27, Zach Shallcross was forced to choose between his two final suitresses. The segment, which Neil has been in charge of for years, elicited shocked responses from OG fans. When show host Jesse Palmer revealed that Neil would be unable to attend, viewers were taken aback. Zach considered four various rings before making his choice. "I'm proposing to my best friend," he added.

'Is this the most shocking Bachelor finale ever?'

Fans took to social media to pose the most important question, "CAN SOMEONE CHECK ON NEIL LANE." Following a technical glitch from the network that resulted in no sound for a good chunk of the episode, a fan quipped, "No sound? No Neil Lane?? Is this the most shocking Bachelor finale ever?"

Failing to believe the show's explanation, a fan asked, "I’m sorry what? Neil Lane wasn’t AVAILABLE?" Another person wrote, "We were ROBBED of Neil Lane????"

One viewer tweeted, "Neil Lane doesn’t even show up anymore????? This is bulls**t." Fans also joked, "Neil Lane tired of giving rings to people and then having to collect them 3 weeks later." This franchise is over."
