BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'Botched' has become one of the most successful medical shows to date. The 'Botched' doctors Dr Paul Nassif and Dr Terry Dubrow have been a part of the series since its release in August 2014. However, as per reports, Dr Terry Dubrow initially turned down the offer of doing the show.

The 'Botched' doctors are well known for handling extreme and severe cases. They focus mainly on wrongly done plastic surgeries and even turn down some patients whose surgery seemed a threat to their lives.

Even though Dr Dubrow and his best friend Dr Paul Nassif have been a part of the cast since 2014, he almost turned down the gig.

At the time he was offered the show he already had a successful career and thriving practice. According to The List, Dr Dubrow was worried about the television exposure that could potentially show him in a bad light if the surgeries didn't work out.

The team of 'Botched' assured him that the show would not encourage people to have outrageous plastic surgery. With that assurance he went ahead to be a part of 'Botched' and now he seems to enjoy his work as well.

Dr Terry Dubrow suffered a mini-stroke called 'Transient Ischemic Attack'

The 'Botched' star Terry Dubrow suffered a mini-stroke called Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) on August 3, 2023, while he was having dinner with his wife Heather Dubrow and their son Nicholas, 19.

It was Heather's quick instinct that made her call 911, as the paramedics arrived they stated the vitals to be normal. When they reached the hospital, they found out that he had TIA.

According to the American Stroke Association, "A transient ischemic attack, or TIA, is a temporary blockage of blood flow to the brain. The clot usually dissolves on its own or gets dislodged, and the symptoms usually last less than five minutes. While a TIA doesn’t cause permanent damage, it’s a “warning stroke” signaling a possible full-blown stroke ahead."

Dr Terry Dubrow thanked his wife Heather for her quick action of calling the paramedics.
