Who was Shari Quai? 'RHOSLC' Season 4 star Whitney Rose gets emotional over BFF's critical condition
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: In the latest episode of 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 4, Whitney Rose became emotional upon receiving news about her best friend Shari Quai's intubation.
While in the car with her husband Justin, Whitney received a distressing message. She shared with her husband, "Shari's being intubated."
Recalling the situation, Whitney expressed, "I mean, I was with her on Monday, and she couldn't even get off the couch." She added, "I have known Shari since I was 23 years old, and she's been to all the major events in my life."
Speaking to the cameras, Whitney confessed, "She's been fighting cancer. It's the most helpless feeling to know that my friend is suffering, and I can't do anything about it, and I have no idea how to cope with that."
Trying to hold back tears, she told the cameras, "I'm worried. I think we're losing her. And on Monday, when I sat with her, that's what we talked about was how she knows death is here."
Shari, a certified registered nurse anesthetist died on April 26, 2023, after losing the battle against cancer. She was also an owner of AIve Aesthetics and Wellness.
According to her LinkedIn, Shari received her undergraduate degree in nursing at BYU and studied Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia at Westminster College.
Shari was diagnosed with stage 4, colorectal cancer. After her diagnosis, she became an advocate for anyone with cancer and founded Aive Aesthetics and Wellness.

Whitney Rose's friend Shari Quai was married to Josh, and together they had three children: Lily, Vienna, and McCade. Unfortunately, Shari also had a daughter named Eva Rose, who died in 2017.
In an Instagram post, Shari's husband, Josh, shared, "We are comforted to believe that she is now reunited with her daughter Eve Rose who passed in 2017."

'RHOSLC' Season 4 star Whitney Rose shared a series of photos with her best friend Shari Quai and penned a touching birthday tribute on July 4.
The reality star took to Instagram and wrote, "This year hit different without having Shari with us in person."
She noted, "It took me a minute to post because to be honest it was a very difficult day. I spent most of the day in and out of tears. Whitney continued, "The 4th was not only Shari’s favorite holiday it is also her birthday."
Whitney further revealed that it became a tradition to organize the 'best firework show' for Shari on her birthday. She also said that Whitney spent this year's holiday with Shari's husband and children.
