'Palm Royale': Cast and character guide on who’s playing who in Apple TV+'s period comedy series
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: ‘Palm Royale’, Apple TV+'s upcoming period comedy series featuring Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, and others is all set to release on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Adapted from Juliet McDaniel's 2018 novel, 'Mr. & Mrs. American Pie', set in the late 1960s Palm Springs, the show delves into the lives of a wealthy and exclusive group competing for status and recognition.
Originally named 'Mrs. American Pie', the series was developed by Abe Sylvia, known for his work on 'Dead to Me', 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye', and 'The Producers'.
Filmmaker and actor Tate Taylor, renowned for the star-studded 2011 film 'The Help', will direct several episodes of the show.
The official synopsis of the series reads, “Palm Royale is a true underdog story that follows Maxine Simmons (Wiig) as she endeavors to break into Palm Beach high society.”
