LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix will expand its streaming library with the addition of the Filipino film 'A Journey,' scheduled for release on Friday, April 12.

Directed by RC Delos Reyes, the series features a poignant and engrossing narrative, following a cancer patient as she embarks on a journey with her husband and best friend to fulfill her bucket list.

The series, which offers a complex emotional plot, features a talented ensemble cast poised to take viewers on an emotional rollercoaster.

Paolo Contis, a Filipino actor, singer, and comedian of Italian heritage, plays an integral part in the movie.

After making his acting debut in the 1990s with 'Ang TV,' Contis gained recognition for his roles in dramas centered on young people.

Born on March 14, 1984, the actor rose to prominence for his portrayal in the adolescent drama 'Tabing Ilog.'

Contis received the Best Actor award for his performance in 'Banal.'

His other major acting credits include:, 'Through Night and Day,' 'Videoke King,' 'A Faraway Land' and 'Bubble Gang' among others.

While the details of her character remain undisclosed, it is reasonable to deduce from the trailer that the Filipino-American actress Kaye Abad plays a critical role in the film.

Born on May 17, 1982, in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA, she began her career in 1993 with 'Ang TV.'

Following her success with her youth-oriented program, the actress rose to prominence with her appearance in 'Tabing Ilog.'

In 2006, she appeared in the prequel fantasy series 'Super Inggo.'

She also portrayed the antagonist in the drama series 'Precious Hearts Romances: Alyna'.

Her other major work credits include, 'Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas,' 'May Bukas Pa,' 'Rubi,' 'Angelito: Batang Ama' and others.

Patrick Garcia is a prominent Filipino actor with a solid reputation in the entertainment world.

Garcia began serving as an altar boy at St James Parish Church at the age of nine, continuing until his family relocated.

Garcia auditioned for the film 'Separada' at the request of his elder sister and was immediately cast, making his acting debut.

He won the Best Child Actor award for 'Madrasta' in 1996.

After a lengthy affiliation with ABS-CBN, the actor moved to rival network GMA Network, where he appeared in numerous blockbuster dramas such as 'Tabing Ilog,' 'Darating ang Umaga,' Kampanerang Kuba' and others.

Jimmy Santos, a versatile Filipino comedian, actor, and former professional basketball player, plays a pivotal part in the film.

Before transitioning to acting, Santos was a part of the Jose Rizal College Heavy Bombers as one of the 'starting five' players.

The actor has also played professionally in the commercial league, MICAA.

Santos made his screen debut in 1977 with 'Bontoc,' and during the 1980s, he further developed his comedic talents, appearing on the situational comedy program 'Iskul Bukol.'

Since then, he has taken on a variety of roles in numerous productions such as 'Si Agimat, si Enteng Kabisote at si Ako,' 'My Little Bossings,' 'My Illegal Wife,' 'My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore,' and others.
