LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: TJ Holmes' divorce from his first wife, Amy Ferson, back in 2007 was quite a pricey affair, with the judge reportedly ruling the two 'not to harass' each other. It was a nasty and an expensive divorce which cost the 'Good Morning America' host an estimated $100,000.
Ferson and TJ tied the knot in 2000, and they have two children, son Jaiden Holmes and daughter Brianna Holmes. Their divorce was finalised in 2007, and in her divorce, Ferson demanded alimony support, as she claimed she "earns insufficient funds for support." Both TJ and Ferson agreed to the judge's order that neither will do any "threating, injuring, maltreating, vilifying, molesting, or harassing" of the other party as a result of the divorce.

The couple entered into a settlement agreement, which proved costly for TJ. Ferson was awarded monthly alimony payments of $2,000 over the course of three years. She was also given $25,000 out of their $30,000 joint savings account, and he had to pay the $3,500 balance of a shared credit card.
TJ was also ordered to pay the remainder of her lease on her BMW, as well as provide her with ongoing health care through his employer over the course of several years. In total, TJ's divorce from Ferson cost upwards of $100,000. He did, however, did get to keep their home in Georgia.
Who is Amy Ferson?
Amy Ferson is a TV personality and journalist who also works as a conservative commentator for CNN. Ferson rose to prominence as the ex-wife of 'Good Morning America' host TJ Holmes. Back in May 2000, Ferson's appeared on the list of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People. She also won the Thurgood Marshall Community Leader award for covering both the 2006 and 2008 political seasons for CNN. In the beginning of her career, Ferson used to write monthly columns for USA Today and the Washington Post.
Ferson is an Afro-American who was born in Zambia, raised in Seattle, Washington, and is now currently living in New York. She has an economics degree from Princeton. Ferson is a very private person and does not share many details about her life. After her divorce, Ferson has remained unmarried.
