Who is Orlando Leyba?

Orlando has an uncanny ability to find humor in almost everything that comes his way. He entertains the audience with his lively demeanor, dynamic storytelling, and irresistible likability, allowing them to join him on the enjoyable voyage of his life adventures. He's been trying hard to establish himself on the comedy scene and most recently made his Debut on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', 'EntreNos' on HBO, TruTV LaffMobb's 'LaffTracks Just For Laughs' and his very own comedy special, 'Adorable', airing on HBO. He was also a finalist in NBC's 'Stand Up Showcase' and played Wabo in the animated children's feature 'Luis and The Aliens'. Orlando has become a fixture at comedy festivals and clubs around the United States and Canada. Michael Cox, the booker for 'The Tonight Show', put up a terrific post on Facebook listing all the locations he has seen Orlando in previously, including Big Sky Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull, NBC's 'Standup for Diversity' show, and more. That's how he got the phone call.

According to his LinkedIn, Orlando worked as a production assistant for Afterplay Entertainment for nearly four years before becoming a CBS News Satellite Engineer/Editor/Photo Journalist. After nearly 6 years with CBS News, he began his full-time career as a comedian with Orlando Leyba Ent.

Orlando and his wife are avid fans of HGTV programming, particularly 'Property Brothers', which he claims he saw in Italian while on vacation with his wife. He was also infatuated with 'Tiny House, Big Living', and he tried to persuade his wife to join him, despite the fact that it was prohibitively costly in California.

Orlando is inspired by Drew Carey

Orlando used to watch Drew Carey's shows and is currently infatuated with 'The Price Is Right' since it's such a fun show where everyone wins. He auditioned for 'The Price Is Right' three times in Los Angeles but was never chosen. Orlando and his friends donned shirts that said 'Drew' the last time he attended. Drew noticed it and approached them, saying, "Oh man, thank you for wearing that. What do you guys do for a living?" according to Uproxx. They were all stand-ups, and as soon as they informed him that, he continued going over to Orlando and his pals at every set change.

Orlando in 'AGT' Season 18

On May 28, Orlando took to Instagram to announce his debut on 'AGT'. He wrote, "This is Happening I'll be Auditioning for #agt - @agt @agtauditions Infront of the Judges - @simoncowell , @heidiklum , @howiemandel , and @sofiavergara Plus the Host with the most - @terrycrews 8/7c on @nbc."
