RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL: 'RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars' contestant Miranda Lebrão is a drag performer and 'Drag Race Brasil' star from Rio de Janeiro. She has also appeared on 'Drag Race Hall of Fame' and bagged the fourth finalist spot. She has a degree in acting and naval engineering.

She also has a master's degree in international relations. Additionally, Miranda has work experience as a presenter, drag queen and communicator. She had a tough childhood as none of her family members supported her artistic passion. Miranda's mother was abusive and threw hot coffee bottle at her when she was just 4 years old.

Although the bottle missed Miranda, it hit the ground and exploded spilling hot coffee over Miranda's body. The drag performer was hospitalized and suffered severe burns on her head, arms and her abdomen. She had to undergo surgery to reconstruct her nose. The accident led her mother to lose Miranda's custody. Additionally, she became a victim of conversion therapy at the age of 15.

Miranda Lebrão lost a life-changing opportunity

'RuPaul’s Drag Race' spinoff star Miranda Lebrão became her country's first representative on the program and has been a fan of drag queens since she was a child. However, she received a golden opportunity to star in a soap opera when she was young but she lost it.

Miranda landed a recurring role in the Brazilian version of the TV series 'Chiquititas' in 1997. However, the drag performer's mother was pregnant at the time and her family were not able to move to Argentina, where the show was filmed.

Miranda Lebrão shares her 'Drag Race Brasil' experience

'RuPaul’s Drag Race' star Miranda Lebrão draws inspiration from RuPaul Charles and shared in her introduction video, "When I saw RuPaul, I thought 'he's changing the world and I want to be part of it.'" Meanwhile, she defined herself in the video as "someone who is trying to break many silences and discovered in drag a possibility to speak."

Miranda has previously appeared on 'Drag Race Brasil' and she took to her Instagram to share her experience. She wrote, "When I joined DragRaceBrasil, I took with me my story, the legacy of Brazilian transformers and a dream of offering a lot of LIFE to the LGBTQIAPN+ community throughout our country. I said all this on Meet The Queens."

The drag performer further revealed, "In a reality show, our emotions are put to the test at all times. Isn't that how it is in life? We are far from friends, family, all reality out here, but I never forget my LIFE experiences." However, Miranda slammed the critics and insisted viewers to never criticize the performers without knowing their struggles.
