'Love Island' is back with its eighth season, with a whole new batch of singletons. The series has been nothing less of a dramedy, serious challenges and re-couplings thrown in for good measure. Providing a change of pace in the upcoming season is new host, Sarah Hyland.

The show will be narrated by the Scottish comedian, actor and narrator, Iain Stirling. Stirling operates his own channel on the Internet streaming service Twitch in which he interacts with viewers while playing video games such as FIFA.

Who is Iain Stirling?

Iain Stirling is a Scottish comedian, writer, television presenter, actor, narrator and Twitch streamer from Edinburgh, Scotland. He has always been passionate about stand-up comedies and started it in his final year of Law at the University of Edinburgh. Having been dubbed one of Scotland's 'Hottest Newcomers' by The Scotsman after his performance in front of  people at the Glasgow Fruitmarket, he now gigs all over the UK including The Stand [Edinburgh and Glasgow], The Comedy Store [Manchester and London], Off The Kerb and various smaller clubs.



 

He has also worked as a writer on a number of projects for the likes of CBBC and BBC Scotland. In 2012, Iain appeared on Russell Howard's 'Good News' In June 2015, Stirling became the narrator of ITV2 reality series 'Love Island'. He will continue narrating the series in its next installment too. 

Who is Iain Stirling's wife?

Ian Sterling is married to the Irish model, television and radio presenter, Laura Whitmore. The model was born in Dublin, Ireland. In April 2008, MTV Networks Europe launched a campaign 'Pick Me MTV' where Whitmore competed against other contestants to become the face of MTV News in MTV Europe. For five series from 2011, Whitmore hosted I'm a 'Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW!' on ITV2. In April 2014, she also co-hosted the 11th Irish Film & Television Awards with Simon Delaney. 



 

On 10 August 2016, Whitmore took part in the fourteenth series of 'Strictly Come Dancing', beginning September 2016. She was partnered with Italian dancer Giovanni Pernice and was the sixth contestant to be voted out, on 5 November 2016, following a dance off with eventual series champions Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton.

On 20 December 2019, it was announced that Whitmore would host the sixth series of ITV2's 'Love Island' in 2020 after Caroline Flack was arrested for assaulting her partner Lewis Burton. She is also a proud author of her book, ' No One Can Change Your Life Except For You' which was released On 4 March 2021. Some of her recent gigs are, 'Love Island', 'Love Island: Aftersun', 'Celebrity Gogglebox', and 'Celebrity Juice'.
