NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The first episode of Season 21 of'American Idol' aired on Sunday, February 19. Judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan traveled to Las Vegas, Nashville, and New Orleans in search of the contestants with the best voices.
Fan-favorite host Ryan Seacrest is also back for Season 21. Tonnes of hopeful artists look for a chance to debut in the iconic show but only a few lucky ones get the chance. One such talented artist to feature in Season 21 auditions is 15-year-old Kaylin Hedges. Kaylin is well known for having appeared in videos that have nearly a million views with her celebrity vocal coach Natalie Weiss when she was 12 years old. Who is Kaylin Hedges?
Kaylin is a 15-year-old Neywork-based teen musician. Her Instagram bio states, "15-year-old who likes to sing and occasionally write my life into a song. I also binge way too much Anime." In the past, Kaylin has featured in Hollywood Bowl’s production of Annie and also starred as Haley Westerbrook in 'Loch Ness', a musical. Her portrayal of 'Annie' was a Broadway World award-winning performance. She also writes her own original songs and musicals. Kaylin currently resides in NYC where she is working towards achieving her dreams.
Kaylin is most renowned for having appeared in videos with her celebrity vocal coach Natalie Weiss when she was 12 years old. Natalie herself almost made the Top 24 in 'American Idol' Season 4. When Kaylin is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing board games, and binge-watching Netflix series or anime. At age 6, Kaylin made her stage debut as a sheep in a local theatre production of 'The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever'. She loved it so much that she made the decision to focus her entire life on the arts.

Week 2 auditions of Season 21 will feature the Army brat and teen musician, Kaylin. The young artist has revealed that she has been a huge 'American Idol' fan since the age of three and this is a dream come true for her. She has been singing in front of her tv with all the idols since she was that age.
