Who is James Milton Johnson's mother? Family dubs 'Love is Blind' Season 5 star's relationship with Lydia Arleen 'phony'
HOUSTON, TEXAS: It seems Netflix's 'Love Is Blind' Season 5 star James Milton Johnson's mother Rita Johnson is not a great fan of his fiancee Lydia Arleen. Rita has a well-educated background and she sets the same expectations for whoever comes into her family.
According to Milton's mother's LinkedIn profile, she works as a licensed realtor at Coldwell Banker. Before becoming a realtor, Rita served for 14 years in the US Navy.
She earned her Bachelor's degree from Georgia Military College and a Masters degree in Science from the University of Oklahoma.
It was nerve-wracking for Milton to introduce Lydia to his family as he knew they had a different set of values when it came to where Lydia came from. Milton believes his family has fewer emotions and they see marriage as a business deal.
Well, it seemed Milton's mother was not a big fan of Lydia. When asked by Milton's mother why she wants to marry her son, she quoted mature reasons saying, "That's the guy I'm crazy for."
Countering her answer, Rita interjected, "You know, you're scripted. You know a lot of the answers."
This made Lydia a little uncomfortable. She went on to claim, "This what you see right now, this is me. I'm really loving. I'm caring. I'm loud. And, I'm really comfortable with him."

Milton's sister Jessica Patterson asks her brother, "What are you doing?" referring to why he wants to get married. She further asks, "Why are you getting married?"
Instead of stating that he is getting married because he loves Lydia, he says to his sister, "Super uncomfortable questions. Chill out dude, chill."
Jessica continued to shot questions toward her brother, asking, "Why are you getting married?" She adds, "I didn't even know you were thinking about marriage."
Milton's father further asks the couple, "How did it just pop into your noggin say 'Now's the time, today is the day'?" Jessica interrupted him to say, "Coz it's phony. It's phony."

In the recently released episodes of 'Love Is Blind' Season 5, we saw Milton taking out his sister for lunch in order to get her perspective on Lydia.
Milton confessed to his sister that he wanted to marry Lydia as he relied on his gut feeling. Listening to this, Jessica threw some harsh facts at her baby brother.
She says, "One, you're going into it and people think it's fake. Two, you're two people trying to get to know each other."
Jessica believes marriage is a huge deal and insists he should think twice before saying yes. Seeing Milton be so analytical about his decision to marry Lydia, she claims he thinks of Lydia as his "science project."
'Love Is Blind' Season 5: Will James Milton Johnson say no to Lydia Arleen at the altar?
It has not yet been confirmed what Milton's decision will be. So far, he has been certain about what he wants. Despite so many arguments, ex problems, and family disagreements, Milton chose to stand beside Lydia.
In the preview clip, we see Lydia and Milton standing at the altar. In one of the clips, Lydia claims, "What am I doing wrong?" Does this mean Milton said no to Lydia at the altar?
