PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA: Charity Lawson, a beloved contestant from Zack Shallcross' season of 'The Bachelor', is gearing up for an exciting journey to find love as she takes on the lead in the 20th season of 'The Bachelorette'. As part of ABC's extensive lineup of unscripted programming, 'The Bachelorette' is just one of the many shows under the popular 'Bachelor' franchise, which has gained even more prominence during the writers' strike.

Fans can anticipate a captivating summer as Lawson's season unfolds, and ABC has even more in store for Bachelor Nation, with the highly anticipated ninth season of 'Bachelor In Paradise' and the debut of 'The Golden Bachelor', a special spinoff featuring senior citizens, in the upcoming fall schedule. Before delving into this season, let's meet one of the potential suitors vying for Lawson's heart—Christopher Spell.

Who is Christopher Spell?

Meet Christopher, aka Chris, a 27-year-old contestant vying for Charity's affection on the thrilling season of 'The Bachelorette.' Hailing from White Plains, New York, Chris is a dynamic entrepreneur and a remarkable jump coach. His jaw-dropping jump videos have amassed hundreds of millions of views, showcasing his gravity-defying abilities as he effortlessly leaps over people and cars. Chris's extraordinary talent has garnered recognition from esteemed platforms such as SportsCenter, Good Morning America, and House of Highlights. One of his standout feats, a standing vertical jump featured on Dunkademics, captivated nearly 10 million viewers. During his college years, Chris began his athletic journey as a wide receiver playing D-III football at Hartwick College. In eight games, he demonstrated his skills with 14 receptions for 158 yards.

Later on, in 2016, Chris pursued his dreams further when he joined the Buffalo Bulls as a walk-on receiver. Although he played in four games as a junior, he didn't secure a catch. While he initially aspired to become an NFL player and even explored opportunities in Canadian and Arena football leagues as well as the XFL, Chris discovered that his true calling lay in the realm of jumping. Today, Chris thrives as the owner of Against Odds Athletics Inc, a personal training corporation that molds the next generation of track and field jumpers and basketball players. His expertise in training and his reputation as a "professional dunker," as he proudly describes himself on LinkedIn, has solidified his presence in the industry. Despite standing at just 5-foot-9, Chris's exceptional jumping prowess enables him to make a significant impact on the basketball court. Recently, he even showcased his skills at the prestigious Quai 54 dunk contest in Paris, where he received a judgment from NBA players Luka Doncic and Zion Williamson.

Christopher Spell boasts two world records for high jumping

In February 2021, Chris achieved a remarkable feat by breaking the world record for the highest standing box jump, reaching an astounding height of 1.70 meters or 5 feet 7 inches. This extraordinary accomplishment is particularly impressive considering Chris's height of 5-foot-9. His incredible jump was captured and shared, solidifying his position as a jumping sensation. Not content with one record-breaking achievement, Chris continued to push his limits. In November 2021, he shattered another world record, this time for the highest-standing backward somersault. With a recorded height of 1.47 meters, equivalent to 4 feet and 10.25 inches, Chris showcased his remarkable agility and aerial skills. Driven by a passion for pushing boundaries, Chris is currently engaged in training for another Guinness World Record. In May, he demonstrated his exceptional abilities once again, displaying an astonishing single-leg box jump of nearly 53 inches. With his sights set on surpassing the current Guinness World Record of 54.49 inches, Chris is determined to leave his mark on the athletic world with yet another groundbreaking accomplishment.

What is Christopher Spell looking for in their partner?

Chris presents himself as a confident, committed, and passionate individual in search of his perfect partner, someone who would be his loyal companion through thick and thin. He envisions a relationship where they can embark on exciting adventures together. If given the opportunity to be a superhero, Chris would choose to embody The Flash, inspired by the character's ability to travel the world at lightning-fast speeds. His desire to share this incredible experience with his future wife suggests that he values a deep connection and partnership. As for breaking records with Charity on 'The Bachelorette,' it is difficult to predict the exact outcomes of their journey. The show is renowned for its twists, turns, and unexpected moments. While Chris's athletic abilities and determination to set new records are impressive, it remains to be seen how his connection with Charity will unfold.
