2-year-old 'AGT' Season 19 contestant Baby Dev can read and write too

His passion for numbers and how his parents fostered it were previously revealed by the parents. "By 15 months, he was writing numbers all on his own," they informed a follower via the comments area.

"Then we started teaching him simple math (1+1, 1+2). Then soon after progressed to subtraction, then a month later, multiplication then division."

They responded to a different user who inquired about Dev's interest in other topics by saying, "Yes, he knows how to read and write too. We just choose to focus on math here because that’s his first love. But we will probably include some reading/spelling videos soon as well."

'AGT' Season 19 contestant Baby Dev stunned Kelly Clarkson with his math skill

The child's father had earlier informed the host that this first word was actually 'Seven' during a visit to 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'.

Duane remembered, "At four months old, we started showing Devan numbers, and we noticed when we would change the channels and the shows, he would start to cry, and when we would change it back, he would stop crying."

"At one, we brought a writing tablet, and we would practice writing numbers while holding his hands and saying it aloud. Soon after that, he was able to write numbers all on his own."

During the show's broadcast, the two-year-old demonstrated his skills by helping Kelly Clarkson and the audience solve a puzzle. Furthermore, he executed it with the same enthusiasm that pervaded the popular videos.

Before Baby Dev and his father said their goodbyes, Kelly and the staff were so inspired by Baby Dev's brilliance that they gave them a $1,000 gift on behalf of Pilot Pen, the season sponsor of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'.
