Singer Demi Lovato stole the limelight at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards with her glittery attire, her voluptuous figure and even her corny jokes! The ‘I Love Me’ singer who hosted the starry awards ceremony on November 15 kicked off the show with a hilarious and captivating monologue.

She said, "You guys look amazing. How are you feeling tonight? This is literally my favorite show of the year, not just because I've taken home a few of these trophies myself, but this is the only awards show decided entirely by the fans, so every winner was chosen by you."

After that, the jovial singer quipped on her broken engagement with actor Max Ehrich. "I performed at the Grammys and sung the National Anthem at the Super Bowl," she shared. "But then Covid-19 hit, and everything shut down. So I did what everyone else did. I went into lockdown mode and got engaged. I got into painting, photography, meditation, tested the limits of Postmates unlimited. I also didn't know this could happen, but I reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of 'Pretty Little Liars', got un-engaged, and then I went looking for aliens in the desert. So basically the same as everyone else."

A user posted the video of awards on Twitter.

With that, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer took a jibe at her own engagement where the pair called it quits on their relationship in late September two months after they got engaged in July 22, 2020. According to reports, Lovato and Ehrich had a tumultuous relationship where the singer’s well-wishers had expressed their doubts about Max's intentions. E Online cited a source, "People close to Demi have expressed that they are worried and are hesitant about Max."

Cosmopolitan too said that purportedly Max spent a lot of time “thirsting” after other celebrities like singers Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande before he met Demi. This came after some tweets surfaced on the Internet showing Max stanning over Selena Gomez.

However, despite the concerns, Demi was reportedly "head over heels" for Max and doesn't want to be heartbroken. "She truly cares about Max and wants to think his intentions are genuine”, a source told E Online. However, things did not go down well with the pair and they broke up in September, “It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together,” a source cited by Cosmopolitan said after their breakup.

While we all are wondering whom Lovato is dating right now after calling off her relationship, it turns out that the ‘Confident’ singer is learning to love herself. “I think the most important thing that I’ve learned is how much I am OK with myself and loving myself,” she told US Weekly Magazine. “It wasn’t until this year that I really started exploring the things that bring joy to my life in little ways.”

Currently, there are no reports that indicate that she is in a new romantic relationship after breaking the engagement. However, the singer became a hot topic on the Internet as she took a jibe on her breakup where users on social media had some fun moments.

A user wrote, “I’m feeling really bad for anyone that thought #RHOP was on at 9 and turned on Bravo to see Demi Lovato making corny jokes at an awards show.” Another wrote that she was being realistic, “One of my favorite moments is @ddlovato being real and talking about her engagement.” A user had a laugh, “GOT ENGAGED AND UNENGAGED I LAUGHED CIDKKD DEMI.”
