PARIS, FRANCE: The Summer Olympics are back, and Paris is ready to host the games this year, beginning on Friday, July 26, and concluding on Sunday, August 11. Ahead of the opening ceremony, let's take a look at Valarie Allman, a 29-year-old American track and field athlete specializing in the discus throw.

Born on February 23, 1995, to David and Lisa Allman, the Silver Creek graduate has won all eight of her meets in 2024, including a pair of 70-meter marks at the US Olympic Trials. If she secures victory, Valarie will become the first American woman to win two gold medals in the discus throw.
