While the formal opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 26, 2024, several sports activities at the Paris Olympics 2024 began two days earlier, on Wednesday, July 24.

As per NBC Philadelphia, the Paris Olympics will begin with two men's football matches at 9 am ET on July 24. Argentina will compete against Morocco at the Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium in Saint-Etienne, while Spain will square off against Uzbekistan at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The opening ceremony for the Olympics will take place over a 6-kilometer stretch along the Seine. It will start at Austerlitz Bridge and culminate amid the gardens, fountains, and palaces under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower at Trocadero.

As per BBC, the opening ceremony will commence at 19:30 local time (18:30 BST) on Friday, July 26.

It is scheduled to take a little under four hours, with the last parts taking place as the sun sets over the French city.

All 329 events will be available to watch or stream, starting with the opening ceremony on July 26 and continuing through to the closing ceremony on August 11.

NBC will provide live TV coverage for certain events, while Peacock subscribers can stream every event.

To watch the games on Peacock you need to have an exclusive subscription to the streaming platform as it offers two membership options.
