In '90 Day: The Last Resort', couples give one last chance to their relationships

KEY WEST, FLORIDA: TLC shows five couples returning to '90 Day: The Last Resort' as they give their relationships a final chance. The couples have two weeks to ''face their relationship demons'' and decide whether to work things out or split up for good.

'90 Day' franchise, couples will seek help from the therapists Dr Petey Silveira, Dr Janie Lacy, and Dr Jason Prendergast. They will lead group sessions and resort activities to guide the contestants on their journeys. The couples will play various games on the beach, getting competitive with each other as they try to save their relationships.

Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi 

Angela Deem recently announced her return to '90 Day: The Last Resort' alongside her long-distance beau, Michael Ilesanmi. The couple last appeared on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' Season 7, where they faced a variety of problems. Angela and Michael have trust issues, which have led to multiple splits throughout their relationship. Notably, Angela's lack of trust in Michael caused her to fly to Nigeria just to catch her husband doing something shady. The 57-year-old TLC star was also against letting Michael have any access to social media that allowed him to earn passive income. Michael eventually ended up cheating on her, leading to their onscreen split. Despite their cheating scandal, they get back together. However, it seems like Angela and Michael truly want to work on their relationship and are ready to give it one last chance in the upcoming TLC spinoff.

Asuelu Pulaa and Kalani Faagata

Asuelu Pulaa and Kalani Faagata have been involved with the hit reality TV franchise for a long time. Asuelu and Kalani have two adorable sons and bought a home in Utah. Unfortunately, things went off the rails soon after their last appearance on the show. Kalani and Asuelu stopped following each other on Instagram, sold their house, and began living separately. While they didn't announce their split, their social media activity made it clear they weren't together before joining the new spin-off. Meanwhile, in '90 Day: The Last Resort', Kalani told Asuelu she went to a lawyer to talk about divorce. But the group session revealed their true feelings as Kalani had an emotional outburst at Asuelu, declaring that she ''begged'' him to not do something and he ''kept doing it.''

Edward 'Big Ed' Brown and Liz Woods

Despite being together for around two years, Ed and Liz still have major trust issues. The last time the pair appeared on TV, they faced many problems. Big Ed accused Liz of being a lesbian, while she revealed that Ed had made her sleep in her car before and gaslighted her about losing weight. Meanwhile, in the upcoming spinoff, Ed admits that he and Liz are facing their ''last chance'' to make things work and that it's ''all or nothing.'' However, over the last few months, Liz has been posting a lot about Ed and sharing how he's put effort into their relationship. Ed has also been spotted taking Liz to his hometown. It appears like the counseling has clearly done its work.

Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown

Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown seemed like the perfect couple in town, and they had a whirlwind romance. However, the couple suddenly stopped posting about each other in late 2022. Neither confirmed their split, but various sources suggested the popular couple had parted ways in November 2022. Meanwhile, in the upcoming season, the couple appears to be giving their relationship another try. Molly claimed in the spinoff that Kelly has ''no respect'' for her ''as a mother and as a business owner.'' In return, Kelly cries, “I went against all my beliefs for her. No, no, she did me wrong!'' However, it will be interesting to see how Molly and Kelly deal with their personal issues that have strained their longtime relationship.

Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya

Jovi and Yara are another pair that last appeared on '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' season 7. During their appearance, Jovi and Yara faced a challenge that pushed them to the edge of a breakup. But in the end, love won, and they eventually overcame the issue. Yara and Jovi didn't have major marital issues on the show. However, Jovi and Yara were in a ''pretty rocky'' place in their marriage, as Jovi admitted in latest season of TLC show that she has been ''miserable for two and a half years.'' Later, Yara confesses to Jovi during group therapy, ''I hide something behind your back.'' However, it appears like the couple was able to fix their minor differences on the show and make their marriage work once again. Jovi and Yara often share romantic posts on social media.

'90 Day: The Last Resort' premieres on Monday, August 14th, at 9 pm ET on TLC.
