BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'Botched' Season 8's Dr Paul Nassif warned Lori as soon he started to check her nose. Lori's nose was sinking due to an autoimmune disease and smelled like garbage.

Dr Nassif admitted that he had never attempted to use that many grafts in a closed rhinoplasty in his career while treating Lori. Luckily, the patient got proper treatment from Dr Nassif and looked so much better.

Dr Nassif revealed that Lori's nose would continue to improve over the next two years by 10-15%. Lori could now happily look in the mirror and go out in public again with confidence.

Who is Lori on 'Botched' Season 8?

Lori is the new patient of 'Botched' Season 8 who hails from Alliance, Ohio. She had rhinoplasties twice and her nose now looked like it was sinking into her face.

Around 2006, Lori's nose slowly started to sink. She started to get saddle nose deformity.

Lori's saddle nose started smelling like garbage and a nearby person could smell it. She visited several doctors and they decided to send Lori to ENT who could reconstruct her nose.

However, the surgery made the nose look shorter. Lori tried to avoid looking in the mirror and didn't bother to put on makeup because it just couldn't make her nose look better.

She felt uncomfortable while going outside and hated her nose. She lost her confidence and just didn't want to be noticed.

What happened to Lori on 'Botched' Season 8?

In 'Botched' Season 8 Episode 6, Lori explained her condition to Dr Paul Nassif. The surgeon noted, "When you have regular metastasis or polyangiitis it eats away the cartilage... it eats away the nasal septum that smells."

He explained that sometimes plastic surgeons have to use cadaver ribs. But in Lori's case, she had a double lung transplant from when she had H1N1 (swine flu), which means her ribs were most likely calcified and unusable.

He later elaborated on Lori's nasal condition that granulomatosis with polyangiitis is an "inflammation of the blood vessels that can start with joint pain and sinus pressure". It can then lead to nasal problems, like a large septal perforation.

What Lori was smelling was essentially her nasal tissue rotting away!
