BERTHOUD, COLORADO: HGTV crowned real estate couple Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson the winner of 'Rock The Block' Season 3. After six weeks of strategizing and sweating, the power couple managed to get the highest appraisal. They renovated the house initially valued at $500,000 under a tight budget of $225,000.
Egypt and Mike got a whopping appraisal of $931,000. They named the coastal home "destiny." Egypt claimed that she was "overwhelmed by the emotions" when she saw the firecrackers coming from behind her house. She claims in an interview with HGTV, "It was this emotional rollercoaster." She was "shocked" knowing that they were declared the winner of the show. On the other hand, Mike said, "All I could think was wow, we actually did it!" Egypt and Mike have been a part of HGTV for over a decade now. Recently, the new season of their renovation show 'Married to Real Estate' was released. A few days before, Egypt announced on her social media page the opening of Jeffan.com. She wrote, "You’ve asked! And now I am proud to announce that my Indigo Road Home product line will launch this fall!!! Look at GOD show-off. I am excited to partner with @jeffaninternational for this endeavor as we work to build out a line that embodies my design mission which is to show that both luxury and comfort can align!"
Moreover, the couple has been picking up clients from their neighborhood. Recently they have been seen renovating a client's house who wanted a coastal vibe in their house. Egypt uploaded a video where Mike is seen putting some designs on the wall. "My design team and I were driving Mike literally UP THE WALL But it came out great!! The client wanted a coastal vibe and a nontraditional kitchen. We gave it to them," wrote Egypt. In February, Egypt was chosen as a 2023 global real estate influencer by Inman.
Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson do not believe in giving too much luxury to their kids
The Season 3 champion lives in Atlanta. They are proud parents of three daughters, 21-year-old Simone from Mike's previous relationship, 11-year-old Kendall, and 4-year-old Harper. They are thinking to give their eldest daughter a car this semester. The couple believes, "giving our kids too much luxury at an early age makes them too spoiled and comfortable." But, at the same time, they believe, "But giving them what they need and making them work towards what they want will build character and grit."
