Marvel Studios triggers Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer countdown, and the release appears closer than we think
If the latest updates are any indication, the release date of the much-awaited trailer of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' might be closer than you think. The MCU faithful have speculated that footage of Tom Holland's fourth film as the web-slinger will likely drop sometime next week. The first was Korea’s Media Rating Board, which gave the trailer an official rating on its website. The second comes from the link to the trailer on the movie's official webpage. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' releases in theaters on July 31, 2026.

At the time of writing, 'Brand New Day' is just over four months of its release in cinemas. Considering the previous release patterns, the time for new footage might drop anytime soon. For instance, the mini-teaser for 'Avengers: Doomsday' was released in Korea a week before its US release during 'Disney's Avatar: Fire and Ash'. To add, the Korean Media Rating Board's grading suggests there isn't a lengthy wait.
There is no official confirmation from Marvel Studios about a potential release date. While speculations were rife that BND's trailer would be released in December 2025 after the leak, the focus was taken away by the series of leaks of the 'Avengers: Doomsday' mini-teasers. It's worth noting that Sony and Marvel's decision to delay the trailer's release could also be to give Tom Holland's film its share of focus, given the buzz around a fifth 'Doomsday' trailer.
The last major update from Marvel Studios was the movie's synopsis. "Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game, keeping New York City safe. Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before. To take on what’s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past!
The plot for 'BND' has been under wraps, but what is likely is that the events of the film will take place before 'Doomsday'. Holland's appearance as the friendly neighborhood web-slinger will also be the final MCU film before 'Doomsday' and 'Secret Wars'. A new trailer might offer a look at Sadie Sink's mystery character, while also providing first looks at Jon Bernthal's Punisher and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. The cast includes returning favorites Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. For now, anticipation is high for the new trailer, and only time will tell whether there will be a footage drop next week, as speculated.
