We followed Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) and Baek Hyun-Woo (Kim Soo-hyun), a couple whose bond weathered the fiercest storms imaginable. Yet, their undeniable chemistry, a testament to the brilliant performances of Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun, kept us yearning for their reunion. 

But wait! Just as fans braced themselves for a definitive ending, a plot twist emerged on April 8. News broke that 'Queen of Tears' would receive two additional episodes, extending the narrative beyond its initial conclusion.

When will special episodes of 'Queen of Tears' air?

'Queen of Tears' continues to capture hearts across South Korea. The drama's Episode 14 soared to a new high of 21.625% average nationwide rating, according to Nielsen Korea. 

The drama's initial finale was set for April 27 and 28. However, tvN recently announced plans to air two special episodes. This unexpected addition has fueled speculation of a sad ending.

South Korean publication Star News suggests these specials were created "to soothe the disappointment" of viewers, hinting at a potentially bittersweet conclusion for Hae-in and Hyun-woo's love story.

The two bonus episodes will be named 'Ask Anything' and will be gracing our screens on May 4 and 5. 'Queen of Tears' will reunite with other co-stars and return for a special episode featuring online comment readings (via AllKPop).

How was the 'happy ending' of 'Queen of Tears'?

The Hong family reclaims their rightful place within Queens Group. Hae-in, ever dedicated, focuses on making the department store more welcoming.
