When will 'Monarch' Season 1 Episode 1 come out on Fox?
Musical drama-oriented watches always have a feel-good factor about them, be it the 'The Greatest Showman' or 'High School Musical' movie franchise. In total honesty, there are not many TV shows which are musical drama-oriented, and the ones that stand out are shows like 'Glee', and 'Hannah Montana' the Disney TV show featuring Miley Cyrus. However, Fox has come out with a new TV series which is a musical drama, 'Monarch'. After many complications, the series went through during the making and the post-production period, it is finally all set to premiere.
The synopsis of the series reads, "Reigning King of Country Music Albie Roman, along with his insanely talented, and tough as nails, his wife, Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman, have created a country music dynasty, but even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. When their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicolette 'Nicky' Roman will stop at nothing to protect her family's legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom, alongside her brother Luke and sister Gigi."

According to The Wrap, the series, which stars Susan Sarandon and Trace Adkins, was originally scheduled to premiere after Fox’s coverage of the NFL’s NFC Championship Game on January 20, 2022. Anna Friel, Josh Sasse, Beth Ditto, Meagan Holder, Inigo Pascual, Martha Higareda, and Emma Milani also star. It apparently got postponed due to Covid-related production delays. However, fret not as it is here.

'Monarch' is a Texas-sized, multi-generational musical drama about America’s leading family of country music. In 'Monarch', the Romans are headed by the insanely talented, but tough-as-nails Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman (Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, 'Feud', 'Thelma & Louise') and her beloved husband, “Texas Truthteller” Albie Roman (multi-Platinum country music star and three-time Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award winner Trace Adkins, 'Old Henry').
Dottie and Albie have created a country music dynasty. But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. The stellar cast and the storyline seem quite intriguing for a musical drama. Most of all the focus on female leads is refreshing and stands to be a pivotal part of the series.
