When will 'Good Trouble' Season 3 air? Mariana has to make a decision about her relationship with Raj
'Good Trouble', the spin-off from the American family drama television series 'The Fosters', is soon to arrive for Season 3. The show takes place a few years after the events of ‘The Fosters’, where Adams Foster siblings Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) relocate to Los Angeles to begin the next phase of their lives.
As they move into a communal living apartment building called The Coterie, Callie becomes a law clerk working for Judge Wilson (Roger Bart) while Mariana becomes a software engineer. 'Good Trouble' Season 3 will follow Callie and Mariana as they try to strike a balance between their professional and personal lives, all while learning the harsh realities of adulthood.

The season will also see the two navigate the outside world as they try to deal with what life throws at them. While Alice (Sherry Cola) strives to balance her career in stand-up comedy with her new relationship, Malika (Zuri Adele) has a set of legal consequences to face.
What happened at the end of Season 2?
Good Trouble Season 2 Episode 18, titled ‘Trap Heals’, saw Mariana and Raj (Dhruv Uday Singh) confess to having feelings for other people – she confessed to having feelings for her boss Evan (TJ Linnard), while he confessed about Isabella (Priscilla Quintana). Following this, Mariana took out her anger on Isabella.
That’s when Davia (Emma Hunton) revealed what Isabella had written on her secret confession at the Trap Heals event: “I’m sorry I had sex with my roommate’s boyfriend.” That pushed Mariana running into Evan’s arms. Meanwhile, Callie betrayed her boyfriend Jamie (Beau Mirchoff) when she chose to do the right thing for the class-action lawsuit tenants.
When he found out what she had done, they both agreed that she should move out of their apartment. At the same time, Dennis (Josh Pence) told Davia that he loved her. Malika found out she’s going to trial.
What will happen in Season 3 Episode 1?
As per IMDb’s synopsis of the episode, with Jerod's (Blake Webb) case on the line, Callie takes a job with a high-profile defense lawyer. After sleeping with Evan, Mariana has to make a decision regarding her relationship with Raj.
In an interview with TV Line last year, executive producer Joanna Johnson weighed in on Mariana and Evan’s surprise hookup, Isabella’s confession, and Callie and Jamie’s future. Johnson said talking about Raj and Mariana, “Well, they’ve developed this relationship, and [Isabella is] so supportive and there for him all the time and Mariana is really wrapped up in her app. I think he started to have feelings for Isabella, and Isabella, certainly, I think encouraged him in a friendly way."
"[Isabella] is very damaged, and she just wants everyone to like her. And so she doesn’t know how to respect boundaries. I don’t think she wants to break up Raj and Mariana, but she so desperately needs to be liked that she’s definitely given Raj some signals that he’s interpreting as interest,” she added.
Talking about if Callie and Jamie have officially broken up or if there’s something still there between them, Johnson said, “I mean, there’s potential, but it’s going to be difficult. It’s going to be a complicated situation. But for all the Jamie and Callie shippers, "Jamie’s not gone. He’s not going away, put it that way."

Season 3 of ‘Good Trouble’ will premiere on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 10/9c only on Freeform.
