Everybody's beloved police drama alumnus Michael Chiklis is returning to television in an avatar that had once won him major accolades. 'The Shield' star's latest series 'Coyote' finally arrives on screens after a painfully long wait. It is a thrilling crime drama that sheds light on immigration from both sides of the border. At the center of it is Michael's character Ben, who is going to learn not one but many lessons.

Season 1 of 'Coyote' will air on Thursday, January 7, 2021, on CBS All Access. 

Plot

'Coyote' is the story of Ben Clemens (Michael Chiklis), who after 32 years as a border patrol agent, is forced to work for the very people he spent his career trying to keep out of America. Now exposed to life on the other side of the wall, Ben will start to question his black and white views of the world, challenging his ideology and his loyalties.

Chiklis is best known for his role as Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Detective Vic Mackey on the FX police drama 'The Shield'. The actor won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2002, and was nominated in 2003. He is also known for his roles of Commissioner Tony Scali on the police drama 'The Commish', The Thing in two 'Fantastic Four' films, Jim Powell on the ABC science-fiction comedy-drama 'No Ordinary Family', and as Vincent Savino in the CBS crime drama 'Vegas'. In 2014, Chiklis joined the cast of 'American Horror Story' for its fourth season, 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'.

The Colombian film, TV and telenovela actor has fans all over the world for his role as Gustavo Gaviria in the 2015 Netflix series 'Narcos'. He is also known for his work in 'Distrito Salvaje', 'The Snitch Cartel', 'Entebbe', 'The 33: and 'Peppermint'. 

The series also stars Adriana Paz, Kristyan Ferrer, Octavio Pisano, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Julio Cedillo and introducing Emy Mena. 

Creators

The crime drama series is created by David Graziano, Michael Carnes and Josh Gilbert. Graziano also serves as the showrunner and executive producer of the show.
