'Avengers: Doomsday' is expected to be the biggest crossover event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the powers-that-be behind the tentpole know that. Perhaps that is the reason why the marketing team at Marvel is currently moving forward full steam with its release schedule of 'Avengers: Doomsday' trailers. As had been previously reported, the first trailer for the upcoming movie is currently making the rounds in theatres preceding the screenings of 'Avatar: Fire & Ash'. Three more trailers are supposed to roll out in a phased manner in the coming weeks, with one of them focusing on Thor, the other on Doctor Doom, and the last one specifically hyping the upcoming movie.

The first teaser featuring Chris Evans brings back Steve Rogers, i.e., Captain America, and runs up to eighty-two seconds, as per Games Radar. Rogers is seen riding a motorcycle and returning to a happy home where his wife Peggy Carter fondly waits for him. He is then seen cradling and caring for his child, with the words 'Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday' appearing on screen. Instead of this, reports now suggest that the upcoming teasers, especially the one focusing on Doctor Doom, would be longer and scarier.

The second teaser is apparently ninety-nine seconds in duration, rising above the first teaser by seventeen seconds, says the Finnish National Audiovisual Institute, Kavi, and is speculated to be centred around Chris Hemsworth's Thor. Meanwhile, speculation surrounding the reported third teaser featuring Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom is at an all-time high. Although the character was teased in the post-credits scenes of the recently released 'Fantastic Four' film, his face remained under wraps. It remains to be seen whether Downey Jr.'s return to the MCU will stir up as much fanfare as it did back in his days as Iron Man.

'Avengers: Doomsday' is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and was originally slated to release in May 2025, according to Digital Spy. Initially known as 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty', the film's release was first deferred to May 2026, before ultimately settling on the current release date of December 18, 2026. As less than a year remains before audiences can revisit Earth's mightiest heroes on the big screen, the director duo has added to the marketing hype by bringing into motion a doomsday clock on their Instagram page, geared towards the film's premiere.

MCU has assembled an exceptionally star-studded cast for 'Avengers: Doomsday', and that includes prominent players from all sectors of the multiverse, including X Men Legacy characters and even the Fantastic Four. The upcoming film stars Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Pedro Pascal, and Vanessa Kirby.
