'American Gigolo' hit the midway mark this weekend, and life seems to have tossed another curveball to Julian Kaye (Jon Bernthal) by thrusting him in the eye of a murder case. While there is no confirmation yet if the series is renewed for a Season 2, the fact that there is a lot of story to be told suggests that Showtime may perhaps give the season another run despite the sinewave graph ratings. The show was developed by David Hollander and based on the 1980 film of the same name written and directed by Paul Schrader, starring Richard Gere in the lead role. Now, Bernthal takes over the role in the modern-day adaptation.

The official synopsis reads The official synopsis of the Showtime series reads, "Julian Kaye (Bernthal), 15 years after being arrested for murder and struggling to find his footing in the modern-day Los Angeles sex industry, seeks the truth about the frame that sent him to prison for all those years ago and also hoping to reconnect with his one true love, Michelle." season one of 'American Gigolo' also stars Gretchen Mol, Rosie O’Donnell, Lizzie Brocheré, Gabriel LaBelle, and Leland Orser. Wayne Brady, Alex Fernandez, Sandrine Holt, Yolonda Ross, and Melora Walters in key and recurring roles.

What to expect from 'American Gigolo' Episode 6?

The official synopsis reads, "On the brink of another life sentence, Julian and Sunday wrestle with their roles in his first conviction. Michelle betrays her husband elsewhere, and Colin becomes a pawn for ransom." The series now delves deeper into the mystery of the murder, while Michelle takes matters into her own hands.
