'When Calls the Heart' Season 8: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the Hallmark show
Following the conclusion to Season 7 of Hallmark's most popular love triangle series, 'When Calls the Heart', we now have official confirmation of there will be a Season 8 coming next year.
To say that Hallmark Channel's original, primetime drama series is a fan favorite is not even cutting it close since the story of Elizabeth Thornton is an integral part of their lives.

Release date
'When Calls the Heart' has been renewed for Season 8, which will be out next year, but there is no official release date so far. MEA WorldWide will update this article once the dates are confirmed.
Plot
Set in the early 20th Century, 'When Calls the Heart' tells the story of Elizabeth Thatcher, played by Erin Krakow, a young teacher accustomed to her high-society life. When she is assigned her first classroom in Coal Valley, a small coal-mining town in Western Canada, she feels out of place. Living in the 1910 coal town, Thatcher adapts to the new way of life with some difficulty but eventually managing.
After finding a place for herself in the town Lucas Bouchard pushes her to start a career in writing. At the same time, the previous season, Season 7 shed light on Elizabeth, Lucas and Nathan Grant’s complex love triangle, Faith's sudden exit from Hope Valley, Lee's health scare, to name a few.
We will have to wait a while to know what happens next. If the show is picked up for another season, it'll likely start filming later this year and premiere in February 2021. Of course, these dates are subject to change, given the current public health crisis.

Erin Krakow as Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton
Krakow is best known for her character of Elizabeth Thorton on 'When Calls the Heart', where she also serves as the co-executive producer of the series. The actress has also appeared in 'Army Wives' on Lifetime and on 'Good Girls Revolt', 'Finding Father Christmas', 'Engaging Father Christmas', 'Marrying Father Christmas', and 'A Summer Romance'.
Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard
McNally plays Lucas Bouchard, the role of one of Elizabeth's love interests. The actor is best known for his award-winning portrayal of John Jardine in 'John Apple Jack'. He is also recognized for his work on 'Supernatural', 'Falling Skies' and 'Altered Carbon'.
Kevin McGarry as Nathan Grant
As Nathan Grant, McGarry made his entry on 'When Calls the Heart' in Season 6. The actor is known for his work on CBS’s ‘Heartland’ as Mitch Cutty and is known for his guest appearances on shows such as 'Taken', 'Ranson' and 'The Bold Type'.
