‘When Calls the Heart’ stars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace confirm engagement

Hallmark's ‘When Calls the Heart’ stars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace took to Instagram on December 23 to confirm their engagement through a video posted on the social media platform.

The video, which was captioned "Forever," shows Wallace flaunting her sparkly engagement ring as the actors embrace each other and lean into a kiss, while Martin Perkin’s rendition of Beatles' 'In My Life' played in the background.

The couple was joined by their 'WCTH' co-stars Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum in New York. Erin Krakow posted a picture of their celebration with the caption, "Wishing our friends @imkaylawallace & @kevin_mcgarry_w a massive CONGRATULATIONS on their engagement!!! So happy for you both and thrilled we were all able to celebrate together in the big apple!" 



 

McGarry, 37, and Wallace, 34, joined the hit series in Season 6. The series, which was renewed for a tenth season in June this year, is set in early 20th-century Western Canada. Inspired by Janette Oke's book of the same name, the drama series made its debut on January 11, 2014. The show finished its ninth season in May with an average of 2.9 million viewers each week. According to Hallmark, the finale was the season's most-watched episode, with 3.1 million people tuning in. 
 
The couple confirmed that they were dating in 2020 after McGarry posted a photo of two coffee mugs alongside three candid polaroids featuring the duo. The post was captioned "Photo evidence."



 

McGarry also posted pictures of Wallace this Halloween giving us a glimpse of their goofy relationship. The caption said, "The trick to my treat. It's like being in a loving caring, magical relationship with the house that gives full size chocolate bars! Happy Birthday Darling xx" 



 

The fans of the couple are ecstatic and the comment section of the post has been brimming with congratulatory messages ever since the announcement.
