What’s wrong with Don Jr’s eyes? ‘Addiction getting worse,’ says Internet after video on Jake Paul-Ben Askren fight
Donald Trump Jr, the son of former President Donald Trump, is frequently attacked online with accusations of being drugged up. In videos he posts, the internet often interprets his mannerisms as being similar to that of a person who has ingested narcotics. In a recent video, something similar happened.
Journalists Aaron Rupar and Ashley Feinberg tweeted a video of Donald Trump Jr from his Instagram story, where he was talking about YouTuber Jake Paul and ex-MMA fighter Ben Askren’s upcoming fight that will take place April 17, around 6 pm PT/9 pm ET. In the video, Donald Jr said, “There’s been a lot of smack-talking around. Some of my friends in the UFC, like Jorge Masvidal, chimed in, talking crap about Ben Askren.” He was essentially advertising for the match, asking his followers to book and pre-order the fight.

In the video, however, Donald Jr seemed barely able to keep his eyes open. Rupar wrote on Twitter, “What’s going on with Don Jr’s eyes here.” Feinberg tweeted, “Lmao what in his god's name,” adding, “honestly impressive that he was able to annunciate 'Jake Paul, youtube sensation' as well as he did with a jaw that is only capable of horizontal movements.”

Following their tweets, many online came to previously-held conclusions -- he was inebriated. “Can't believe he thought it was a good idea to post a video so drugged up,” wrote a Twitter user. “The eyes and he’s also doing that coke jaw thing, I caught it at least twice in this video,” said another.
“His addiction is getting worse. If anyone around him cared about him they would get him help,” wrote a Twitter user. “Imo, boi #tfg junior has ingested multiple, mind-altering substances. This is just sad, embarrassingly so,” said another.

Last year, when Donald Jr took the stage on the first night of the Republican National Convention on August 24, 2020, his name along with the word "cocaine" started trending on Twitter. People started posting hilarious reactions and memes saying his eyes drooped during his speech.
However, Donald Jr has hit back at his critics by responding to one of the memes that showed Kermit the Frog snorting white powder. He retweeted the meme with a response, saying, "You must have me confused with Hunter Biden." However, he did not elaborate further. It was largely assumed that there wasn't any particular reason behind his particular response except for the fact that Hunter Biden was one of his regular political targets.
Then, on September 21, 2020, Donald Jr appeared on a video shared by the official Trump Campaign Twitter account. The video said, “The Radical Left is laying the groundwork to steal the 2020 Election from our president. We need you to join ARMY FOR TRUMP’s election security operation!” Following the video, many began mocking it, claiming Trump Jr looked inebriated.
