'Cocaine Bear': Donald Trump Jr roasted by sick trolls after bizarre name of Elizabeth Banks movie goes viral
Elizabeth Banks has found her next directorial project with a bear-centric thriller that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to produce, but the title of the project, 'Cocaine Bear', got netizens scratching their heads over what the hell it means. Some concluded that it was a Donald Trump Jr joke.
Truth is, 'Cocaine Bear' is Banks' new project which is based on an untitled spec written by Jimmy Warden and is inspired by events that took place in Kentucky in 1985. The true story, as reported in 1985 by The New York Times, was that of a 175-pound black bear who consumed the contents of a duffle bag filled with more than 70 pounds of cocaine that was dropped out of an airplane by a local drug smuggler, Andrew Thornton, because he was carrying too heavy a load while parachuting. The bear, nicknamed by the media as 'Pablo EskoBear', was later found dead due to an apparent drug overdose. Here's what the internet has made of 'Cocaine Bear'.

"Cocaine Bear? I thought this was a Donald Jr joke," said a Twitter user, as another quipped, "Isn't Cocaine Bear Kimberly Guilfoyle's nickname for Donald Trump Jr?" The Twitter user was referring to a Republican National Convention in 2020 when 'cocaine' and 'coked' started trending on Twitter due to Guilfoyle's bombastic speech and Trump Jr's gooey, bloodshot eyes, which made viewers think it was highly reminiscent of the effects of cocaine and other illegal stimulants.
"saw cocaine bear trending & thought, what someone is making a book or movie about Donald 'the cokehead' Trump Jr?" quipped another netizen. "Is Donald Trump Jr available for the bear role? His RNC speech last year was a pretty good audition as a cocaine juiced bear," said a tweet.
