Donald Trump Jr hits back at claims he was 'coked up' during RNC speech: 'You must've me confused with Hunter Biden'
After President Donald Trump's eldest son delivered his speech on the first night of the Republican National Convention on Monday, August 24, Trump Jr's name started trending on Twitter along with phrases like "cocaine" and "coked" as social media users mocked him for looking like he was high on drugs when he gave the speech. However, Trump Jr has hit back at his critics by responding to one of the memes where showed Kermit the Frog snorting white powder.
The meme in question was posted by a Twitter user named 'Secular Talk' with the caption, "Trump Jr Backstage #RNC2020", making it clear that they were alluding to the popular trend social media. Trump Jr retweeted the meme with a response, saying, "You must have me confused with Hunter Biden." Since he did not elaborate further, it can be assumed that there wasn't any particular reason behind his particular response except the fact that it was one of his favorite people to target politically.

But Twitter, as always, known for its witty users, did not take Trump Jr's reply laying down. They came up with yet more reactions and memes to his tweet, many of them reminding him that he cannot get away with saying whatever came into his mind because his speech was taped and millions of viewers bore witness to his lackluster appearance.
"Uh, Donnie boy we all saw it with our own eyes last night. I get that you couldn’t see given you were HIGH AF but the rest of us saw it plain as day," one user wrote. Another commented, "In the words of @HillaryClinton 'I know, they all look alike.'"

A third wrote: "Hunter never denied it. You ??" And a fourth said: "No Don. We all saw you. Shocked that they let you be filmed like that."

Another tweet said, "No, buddy, we have it on tape. Which made everyone wonder, 'How awful were the other takes?'" Someone else wrote, "I was surprised they taped you and your girlfriend in that condition. Maybe that was the best condition they could get you guys in. No confusion at all."

Trump Jr claimed during his speech that "the other party is attacking the very principles on which our nation was founded". "Joe Biden and the radical left are also now coming for our freedom of speech and want to bully us into submission. If they get their way, it will no longer be the ‘silent majority', it will be the ‘silenced majority,'" he warned. Trump Jr also used his speech to give kudos to his father for how the government responded to the crisis plaguing the country. "As the virus began to spread, the president acted quickly and ensured ventilators got to hospitals that needed them most. He delivered PPE to our brave frontline workers. And he rallied the mighty American private sector, to tackle this new challenge," the POTUS' eldest son emphasized. "There is more work to do, but there is light at the end of the tunnel."
While he tried his best to praise his father as "the man who represents a bright and beautiful future for all" while at the same time ripping apart Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, as the "Loch Ness Monster of the swamp", all people could focus on was how worn-out he looked and his "gooey, goopy eyes".
