LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Anime has garnered a great fan following and has been a stepping stone for all the animators out there. With the great technological boom, animated TV shows and movies have become great sources of entertainment and have been praised for their phenomenal quality and storyline. Although we might have come a long way, nothing can beat Ghibli films. Now, Netflix has brought to us yet another kick-ass TV show, 'Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune'.

Originally created from Japanese novel series written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by So-bin. Netflix has acquired rights to it and is creating it into an exclusive show that is all set to release on May 18, 2023.

What is the plot of ‘Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune’?

The show is about revolution, inner healing, and war. An animated adaptation of a brand-new military science fiction novel from Carlo Zen, author of 'The Saga of Tanya the Evil'. The official synopsis on Netflix reads, " A young man named Akira volunteers to join a planetary orbital infantry force called "Yakitori" in hopes of changing his life. What does fate have in store for him?"
