Following the jaw-dropping revelation that Margo Banks (Malin Akerman) was the one who killed Abby (Madison Wolfe), the stakes for 'The Hunting Wives' Season 2 are higher than ever. Not only that, but the season 1 finale ended on a shocking cliffhanger when Sophie O'Neil (Brittany Snow) kills off Margo's brother, Kyle (Michael Aaron Milligan), in self-defense. To make matters worse, rather than going to the police, she drags Kyle's body into the woods and pushes it off a cliff, leaving Sophie's fate hanging in the balance. With season 2 officially in production, the star of the show, Brittany Snow, has teased a "wild" major character death, promising that the drama will be more intense than ever.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Golden Globe Awards, Snow teased that 'The Hunting Wives' Season 2 features an unexpected character death. Describing her reaction to reading the script, she said, "I stood up on my couch! I stood up on my couch. Someone dies; I won't tell you who. That is a wild play. Wild behavior." Snow also gave fans a glimpse of the drama and intensity coming in season 2, saying, "Every script is a new adventure. They said that we couldn't top last year, and somehow I think we are doing it." She added, "I'm surprised. And I even knew what was coming a little bit. So, I think people are going to be very shocked, I think people are going to be angry. I think people are going to be surprised and excited," as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Snow's excitement showcases that season 2 will continue the show's signature blend of shocking twists and high-stakes drama. She also hinted that 'The Hunting Wives' Season 2 will turn up the heat, teasing "more steamy" moments. Speaking with Justin Sylvester on Live from E!, she said, "We've filmed some scenes, and we played some Reneé Rapp. We got into a groove. A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking. It's going to leave people very angry, but in a sexy way."

Notably, 'The Hunting Wives' Season 1 received critical acclaim for its unique combination of soap-opera scandal and compelling murder-mystery storytelling, as per ScreenRant. Critics gave the series a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences gave it a 63% rating, echoing a strong fan base alongside critical praise.
