What is the plot of ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’?

The plot begins with the disappearance of Owen Michaels, who leaves a confusing note for his wife, Hannah, with the words "protect her." Hannah fully understands he's referring to his 16-year-old daughter, Bailey, who lost her mother as a child and loathes Hannah.

The fact that Bailey despises Hannah adds to the plot's intrigue because Hannah quickly realizes that Owen is not the man he claims he is and that her stepdaughter may be the only key or way to learn the truth about his mysterious disappearance. Hannah and Bailey both began looking for the truth about Owen and as they start piecing together Owen's past, they eventually notice they're also attempting to build a new future, one neither of them could have expected.

The limited thriller series will stream on Apple TV+ on April 14.
