Dr Julian De Silva, a facial cosmetic surgeon in Harley Street who employs the technology in his practice, created the list using the most recent computerized mapping techniques as per a report in Daily Mail. "These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients' surgery," said Dr De Silva, who runs the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery in Harley Street, London.
What is the Golden Ration of Beauty Phi?
Apparently, the Golden Ratio of Beauty is said to have originated from European Renaissance. The ratio helped architects and artists when they were creating their masterpieces. Even Leonardo Da Vinci utilized the ratio to create the ideal male figure for his famed painting, 'The Vitruvian Man'.
Since then, scientists have modified the equation to explain what makes a person beautiful. A person's face is measured for both length and width, and the findings are then split. The idea is that a face or body becomes more lovely the closer its proportions are to the number 1.618 (Phi).
Then measurements are made between the hairline on the top of the forehead and the space between the eyes, between the space between the eyes and the bottom of the nose, and from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin.
In the event where the numbers are equal, one is thought to be more attractive. The length of the ear must be equal to the length of the nose, and the breadth of an eye must be equal to the distance between the eyes in order for something to be considered "beautiful" according to the Golden Ratio.
De Silva explained: "Regé won because of his classically beautiful face and gorgeous brown eyes," adding, "He had easily the highest score for his eye spacing and the positioning of his eyes also scored highly. "His perfectly shaped lips also scored highly and the only mark he got that was slightly lower was for his nose width and length."
Chris Hemsworth was a narrow winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical as per Silva became the second contender for matching all the elements of the face for physical perfection.
Michael B Jordan as per Dr De Silva came close "for the width and length of his nose and came second for his chin." While as Harry Styles at 92.3% was placed fourth for 99.7 % perfect chin. Jude Bellingham at 92.22%, the football star came 5th for "almost perfect positioning between his lips and his nose."
At the 6th position, Robert Pattison- scored 92.15 for "wonderfully chiseled jaw." Seventh, Chris Evans - 91.92 "with eye positioning and the near-perfect harmony of his facial outline." George Clooney with an 89.91 percent score figuring at eighth number despite being 61 with a loss of volume in his face and some sagging around ht eyes. His "incredible good looks" keeps him among the top 10.
Henry Golding - 87.98 % is the 9th most handsome man for his "chin shape and eye spacing but was marked down by the shapes of his nose and face," as per Dr. De silva. Dwayne Johnson with 86.07 percent keeps the 10th spot and is the second-oldest man after Clooney on the list. He is there "for the shape of his lips and the gap between his lips and his nose," the report mentioned.
