Hallmark is set to take viewers on a mystifying journey with its latest movie in the ‘Hannah Swensen’ franchise, titled ‘Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery’. The upcoming whodunnit reunites Allison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison, and brings back Gabriel Hogan from the original movie.
Viewers first got to see Sweeney as Hannah Swensen in the 2015 movie ‘Murder She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery’. In the same year, the actress went on to reprise the role in two more movies and established herself as a fan-favorite. Two more movies followed in that series. And then in 2021, Hannah Swensen returned in ‘Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery’. The movie also sees the return of Barbara Niven.

What is the plot of ‘Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery’?
People of Lake Eden are shocked when it is revealed that a skeleton has been discovered amid the rubble of a building undergoing renovation. It turns out that one of the citizens of Lake Eden is responsible for this crime and an investigation has begun. Well, without any doubt, Hannah Swensen (Sweeney) starts investigating the case on her own, and her husband, Detective Mike Kingston (Mathison), is not feeling good about this case. As they begin to get more and more involved in the case, they realize how twisted the entire situation is.
The official synopsis reads, “As she tries to piece together the events that led to the murder and tries to learn the victim’s true identity, Hannah even calls on her mother Delores (Niven) as she works to bring the killer to justice and uncover the truth.”
