On February 4, 2024, David shared fantastic news with his fans on Instagram, announcing that he was almost out of the 300-pound zone. As part of his daily regimen, David rides his indoor bike and performs 100 pushups.
He showcased his accomplishments in the post, logging almost six kilometers in under twenty-five minutes. David appears to have returned to the dating scene, traded up his van for a Hemi Chrysler 300, and adopted a healthier lifestyle.
Recent posts suggest that he is seeing Anna Sol. Before settling down, David had been traveling across the country, from California to Idaho and many locations in between.

Everybody's 'My 600-lb Life' narrative is unique. David, who appeared on Season 10, Episode 15, which aired on February 9, 2022, shared his story of being raised in several foster homes and relying on food for comfort as a child.
David never altered his eating patterns, and even when he reached adulthood, he still overindulged at most meals. When a cellulitis infection left him bedridden for two months, he began gaining weight more rapidly.
After he moved in, Robin, his foster mother who had cared for him since he was 17, began to take care of him. David felt it was time for a significant change because his weight remained unhealthy while he was living with her.
David weighed 763 pounds when he first saw Dr Younan Nowzaradan, but he has now shed a significant amount of weight!

David weighed 763 pounds when the episode began. After seeing him, Dr. Now put him on a strict weight-loss regimen. Over the next two months, David dropped seventy-five pounds and was scheduled for bariatric surgery. However, between that visit and his next appointment, David regained all the weight.
Despite his low points, he didn't make excuses, and Dr Now appeared to respect him for that. David did not give up.
Rather, he decided to keep working hard. He continued exercising to try to continue losing weight in preparation for his weight-loss surgery, and by the conclusion of the show, he had once again dropped weight.
In the episode, he declared that he was "never going back" to his previous weight or way of life and vowed to make positive changes. And indeed, he followed through on his words!
David said that he was ultimately given the go-ahead for surgery in Season 9, Episode 4 of 'My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now?', which took place a year and a half after his initial meeting with Dr Now. By the two-year mark, three months post-surgery, David's weight had decreased to 488 pounds, signifying a total reduction of 275 pounds.
David's future goals include losing skin (if he hasn't already) and reaching his target weight of 250 pounds.
