When will ‘Swarm’ release?

Swarm will premiere on Friday, March 10, at the South by Southwest Film Festival. On Friday, March 17, the entire first season of the show will be available. Each episode will be approximately 60 minutes long and it will have seven episodes.

How to watch ‘Swarm’?

‘Swarm’ will be available to stream on Amazon's streaming platform Prime Video. It will also be available on the Amazon Prime Video App, which can be downloaded from Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

What is the plot of ‘Swarm’?

The story revolves around Dre, a young woman whose fascination with a popstar, Ni’Jah, becomes something darker. The trailer shows Dre looking uneasy and anxious, with a buzzing of bees in the back. She asks question, "Who is your favourite artist?" There are also scenes of violence, such as a woman stalking a man crawling on the floor with an axe and a woman in a bikini mopping up a pool of blood while dancing.

Who stars in ‘Swarm’?

Dominique Fishback plays Dre and she is supported by Chloe Bailey and Damson Idris, who will have pivotal roles.

What is the buzz around ‘Swarm’?

The series will have very graphic horror scenes. There are subtle but noticeable references to Beyonce and the Beyhive, such as Dre looking at a beehive dazed. In the show as well, Ni'Jah's fans are called the swarm. The show seems like a black comedy that will take shots at the culture of stanning and obsessive fans who will do anything for their favorite popstars. Nabers said, "It’s more about self-exploration from Dre’s perspective. As a society, we’re talking about the different outlets we have to express our grief, and our feelings and our energy that is stored up inside of us," per Girls United.
