'Welcome to Plathville' Season 4: Fans question real reason behind Max and Moriah's split

The Plath family has certainly come a long way since Season 1 of the show -- with Ethan and Olivia now working on their marriage, Micah in LA and Kim finding herself. And while they seem to be doing better, for now, it hasn't been smooth sailing for everyone.

Barely into Season 4 and Max and Moriah's break up is all anyone can talk about. In Season 3, Max gave her a pink promise ring, and the two really believed that they were made to last, with Max getting along well with Moriah's family.

However, the move to Tampa certainly seems to have put some pressure on the pair. While Moriah kept her silence over what happened, Micah decided to find out the truth from Max, seeing that they were close friends too. Max came clean to Micah about what happened. An older friend of his from work had a retirement party and Max decided to be his wingman to help him get with a woman he was into. But Max's attempts seem to have gotten out of hand as the two shared a kiss. He came clean to Moriah, saying that he was glad it didn't move any further. However, this was enough to expose the cracks in their relationship, as the two got into an argument about Moriah's clothes and other things, causing them to break up. Fans were thoroughly underwhelmed with the drama and expected the situation to be a lot worse than it was made out to be.

"A kiss is not all that happened and it was probably with the buddy not the buddies girlfriend #WelcomeToPlathville" added another. If anything, fans were more pissed over the fact that Max tried to police Moriah's clothing yet again during their breakup. "I knew Max was an asshole as soon as the episode about Moriah's clothing the first time was on - He's jerk off and needs an ass kicking #WelcomeToPlathville" said a fan. "He's still on Moriah about how she dresses?! This blockhead muthafukka. #welcometoplathville" tweeted another.
