'Welcome To Plathville': Moriah believes parents love her but don't accept her as Kim confronts her for pulling herself away from family

Moriah has been constantly craving for freedom and it looks like Kim is able to see it but is not happy with how things have been shaping up.

The Plath family has been having a hard time getting on the same page ever since Olivia joined the family. One of the family members who has been struggling a lot to find her place in the family is Moriah Plath. Moriah has always thought of herself as the black sheep of the family and it looks like her starvation for freedom is growing day by day.

In today's episode of 'Welcome To Plathville', Kim Plath finally decided to sit down with Olivia and have a talk. Kim noticed that Moriah was moving far away from the family ever since she came back from her California trip. During the trip, Moriah got an opportunity to step outside the 55-acre farmland where the family lives and explore how things are different outside their house boundary.

Now that Micah is 18-years-old and Moriah is 16, things have become different in the family. Kim confessed that now that Moriah was 16 she did not have enough control of what she wore or where she went. She added that she tries to show Moriah she cares about her irrespective of how she dresses.

However, she feels Moriah still has her mind stuck on the idea that she is not given enough feeling. Kim added that Moriah is calling the shots and there is nothing she can do about it. She finally decides to confront Moriah about things as she feels she is pulling herself away from the family.

Kim expressed her worry about the two growing apart and added that it was important for them to start communicating. However, Moriah thought that communication wasn't yielding a positive result as their communication made her think that Kim was doubting her decision. This led Kim to open up to Moriah about her thoughts on how it looked like she could not stand her.

Moriah was quick to respond with "have you ever asked why?" She then added that there were times when she felt that her parents did not trust her with her choices. "I know they love me but I don't think they accept me," she said.

Moriah added that she felt she had bitterness towards her mother for how she was treated and Kim felt sad to hear those words and added that she would try her best to understand her better. Moriah also revealed that she wanted to go to college and have the freedom to make her choices.

Kim realized that it was important for her to understand Moriah better and felt happy about the idea that they would communicate more. While the two decided to end the discussion with a hug, it seems like their relationship is headed in a positive direction.

'Welcome To Plathville' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm on TLC.
