Spoilers for 'WandaVision' Episode 3

By the end of Episode 3 of 'WandaVision', the one question related to SWORD is if one of the organizations central in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would return. HYDRA has been a recurring easter egg in the Marvel miniseries, and there's also the possibility of the sinister organization making a grand return. In the events of 'Captain America: The First Avenger' and the sequel, 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', the entity was a key antagonist.

SHIELD was even infiltrated by HYDRA in 'The Winter Soldier' and it took quite the effort to drown the whole organization. Nonetheless, HYDRA was still a key player in ABC's 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.' Now, the old, but deadly nemesis might be back in 'WandaVision' as the episode showed us a rather unusual and twisted side of SWORD — an organization we believed to be SHIELD's successor. With the whole false world that has been showcased in the miniseries, there might be a very real possibility that HYDRA might be back.

For starters, Geraldine (Teyonah Parris) was found to be a SWORD agent. When she was thrown out of Wanda's reality, the agent found herself surrounded by agents who were pointing guns at her. It could be that SWORD somehow managed to embed her in the world that HYDRA may have helped create. The logo on Agnes' necklace (Wanda's neighbor) may have given away another valuable clue on whether this theory is actually true. We may be wrong.

If this theory is indeed true, this may mean Marvel has brought back an age-old enemy that might also pop up in other miniseries that are coming up. Honestly, HYDRA showing up in 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier' would have been a bet most would have had, but 'WandaVision' presumably bringing back the organization adds a whole new dimension to what has otherwise been a gripping storyline. For now, what we do know, is there's more to Westview than the world being Wanda's meticulous creation. What are your thoughts on HYDRA's potential return in 'WandaVision'?
