Spoilers for 'WandaVision' Episode 5

Pietro Maximoff is back from the dead. As outta site as that may seem, 'WandaVision' has convinced Marvel fans that nothing is the same ever again. It threw that bittersweet ending of 'Avengers: Endgame; out of the window by bringing back Paul Bettany's Vision, introducing SWORD, and in general, setting the tone for what Marvel Studios have in Phase 4. In the new episode, it brings back Quicksilver to the Marvel world, except it is the one that Evan Peters played and not Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Why Johnson didn't return is debatable, but with Peters, there is a clear roadmap. The X-Men are coming to the MCU. Previously, we had theorized how the show could be the perfect platform to bring the mutants into the light, and with Pietro's return, there is zero doubt of more mutants popping up. Much about the character's return is up in the air considering he showed up in the final minutes of the episode. Also, he has no idea who Vision is.

'WandaVision' Episode 5 Review: It is Wanda vs Vision in an insane episode that ties with 'X-Men'

And Vision's version and the idea of Pietro is different as he saw the fast-talking zipper-snapper die at the hands of Ultron in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' which was a launchpad for the android himself. Peters probably might be sent in by SWORD who are trying to send in people who cannot be controlled. Peters was not Wanda's creation and the shock plus the revelation of Vision confirms it. So is Pietro a creation of SWORD? Or was it just someone who's better than Wanda playing mind games with her? We can feel Doctor Strange's presence although that is just another piece of wild speculation.

Nonetheless, it has been an episode of surprises and shockers, and only time will tell what will go on at the WandaVision residence.

'WandaVision' Episode 5 is available for streaming on Disney+.
